Bad experience in the past

Last summer holiday I went to Egypt with my family. One day my mother, aunt and me decided to go for shopping . We decided to walk because Cairo has traffic jam and it is very crowded. We rent a flat near the shops. When we wanted to cross the road to the other sade I wanted to cross before my mother and aunt , two cars would crash me , but god helped me, I stopped in the middle of the road and I was afraid . My mother and aunt were shouting then I crossed the road. But I learnt from that experience.
